Shropshire FA Ability Counts League

Shropshire FA Ability League

The Shropshire FA Ability Counts league continues to create new opportunities for disabled players to play competitive football.

The league works unlike any other league within the county and operates purely on a monthly basis, where teams come to a central venue over the season to compete. The results from each round of fixtures are collated and added to results from previous rounds to produce league tables and overall winners.

One of the elements it shares with the traditional mainstream leagues are that players are put into divisions due to their ability and not disability; this, therefore sees players with different impairments playing together and against each other in what is known as PAN disability.

Applications are now open to enter the 22/23 competition, the form can be found here.

This year’s competition will also feature youth divisions for the first time, clubs can express their interest in entering a youth team by completing the expression of interest form.
