The Shropshire FA are delighted to announce the date for a 2019 Quiet & Positive Football Festival, which is set to take place on Saturday 16th November 2019

WHAT IS A QUITE AND POSITIVE FOOTBALL FESTIVAL?

Shropshire FA will introduce an U7’s Quiet and Positive Football Festival on Saturday 16th November 2019, to promote Respect in Youth Football and showcase an attractive game that puts the needs of the players first.

• It will raise awareness of the need to create a positive and pressure-free environment.
  
  
• It will involve coaches and spectators having minimal verbal contact throughout games, to raise awareness of the need to create a positive and pressure- free environment in which children can enjoy football and learn to love and develop their game. 
  
  
• We request that all spectators refrain from giving instruction during the game, and managers/coaches, only give very minimal instruction, allowing the children to play and make their own decisions and trust in each other.  All adults should instead, respectfully and sensibly, give all children praise and encouragement.

We hope you will support and encourage your teams to take part and spread awareness of this fantastic initiative.

A fantastic day of football awaits, bringing together clubs with FA Charter Standard status within the county. As a thank you for the continued support of Shropshire Charter Standard clubs, the Festival will be available completely FREE of charge to clubs wishing to get involved. 

The Shropshire FA will be working in partnership Randlay Colts FC to run the Quiet & Positive Football Festival in November 2019, see below for details;

U7's Age Group
Shropshire FA Charter Standard Football Festivals are available for affiliated boys and girls teams eligible for the under 7’s age group during the 2019/20 season. This involves players from school years 2 currently, and born between the following dates;
1st September 2012 – 31st August 2013

Games will be played following normal mini-soccer rules, with the emphasis on player development and a positive experience of playing football.

Under 7’s  games will be 5-a-side and follow FA Mini-soccer Laws of the Game..
