Shropshire FA are running a Women’s 11 V 11 Midweek Football League for 2019/20 season.

The Shropshire FA (SFA) have been consulting with adult women teams across the County and beyond about setting up a Women’s County Midweek 11v11 League for 2019/20 season.

The League is being created to enable further opportunities for females to play the 11 v 11 game whilst utilising the excellent facilities and qualified referees appointed by the SFA. 

The League will run at Telford College from October on the 3G Pitches, predominantly on Wednesday evenings from 8pm.  Each Wednesday 1 fixture will be played. This will mean that teams will play every other week or every 3rd week, depending on the number of teams that enter.  The cost to play will work out approx. £50 when teams play (£3.50 per player based on 14 players)

To enter the League clubs have to be affiliated to the SFA and have all the necessary Insurance cover.  Contact the SFA for further details.  Shropshire FA 01743-362769.  There will also be a £50 deposit when you register your team.  (This will be reimbursed on the final League fixture.)

We are encouraging new teams to take part and also existing teams.  This League will provide players with extra playing time and give player the chance to play midweek if Sundays are difficulty due to other commitments.  Existing teams are still able to play in their County, Regional and National Leagues.
