Shropshire FA Football Festival (in partnership with Shifnal Town FC)

The Shropshire FA are delighted to announce the dates for a 2019 Football Festival, which is set to take place over the weekend of Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th May 2019.

A fantastic weekend of football awaits, bringing together clubs with FA Charter Standard status within the county, with matches played among varying age groups. As a thank you for the continued support of Shropshire Charter Standard clubs, the tournament will be available completely FREE of charge to clubs wishing to get involved. 

The Shropshire FA will be working in partnership with Shifnal Town FC to run the Football Festival in May 2019, see below for details;

U7's Age Group
Shropshire FA Charter Standard Football Festivals are available for affiliated boys teams eligible for the under 7’s age group during the 2018/19 season. This involves players from school years 1 & 2 currently, and born between the following dates; 1st September 2011 – 31st August 2012
 
U8's Age Group
Shropshire FA Charter Standard Football Festivals are available for affiliated boys and girls teams eligible for the under 8’s age group during the 2018/19 season. This involves players from school years 2 & 3 currently, and born between the following dates; 1st September 2010 – 31st August 2012
 
U9's Age Group
Shropshire FA Charter Standard Football Festivals are available for affiliated girls teams eligible for the under 9’s age group during the 2018/19 season. This involves players from school years 3 & 4 currently, and born between the following dates; 1st September 2009 – 31st August 2011

Games will be played following normal mini-soccer rules, with the emphasis on player development and a positive experience of playing football.
 
Under 7’s  & Under 8's games will be 5-a-side and follow FA Mini-soccer Laws of the Game. Under 9’s games will be 7-a-side and follow FA Mini-soccer Laws of the Game.
