It is with sad news that Derek Jones; a Shropshire FA Delegate has passed away.  He served 35 years with the Shropshire FA and the Football Community of Shropshire, where he started off as Secretary of Cockshutt FC .  He was a founder member of the Old Wem Sunday League and Chaired the Shropshire Girls & Women’s Football League for a number of seasons, where participation in the female game grew.  He will be sadly missed.

The Funeral will take place at Hordley Church, Ellesmere on Monday 10am.
