Supporting your coaching journey

shropshire fa are here every step of the way

The need to provide support to those people coaching players at all levels of our national game has long been recognised by the FA as key to the development of the game in this country.

Here at Shropshire FA we work hard to support all coaches in grassroots football to have a great experience – regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability or disability, faith or age.

safeguarding and welfare

safeguarding is everyone's responsibility

EVERYONE IN FOOTBALL HAS A RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE OUR GAME SAFE AND ENJOYABLE

This is particularly true for coaches. A coach is in a privileged position. The nature of the role means he/she can have significant influence over children and young people and develop relationships of trust with children and their parents/carers. It’s therefore important that coaches understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

Find out how The FA and The Shropshire FA manages safeguarding nationally and locally. You’ll also find detailed information on the game’s safeguarding strategy, and how it applies to you.
