England Women will play the first two key World Cup qualifiers in Walsall in November

The Lionesses will face Bosnia & Herzegovina at Banks’s Stadium on Friday 24 November (7.05pm KO).

They will then play Kazakhstan at Colchester United’s Weston Homes Community Stadium on Tuesday 28 November (7.05pm).

Tickets are on sale now with children and concessions priced at just £1.

An early bird adult ticket offer is available, priced £7.50, until Monday 25 September (full priced ticket is £10). Group booking and Charter Standard discounts apply.

England last played Bosnia in their Euro 2017 qualifying campaign, beating them 1-0 in both games. The Lionesses beat Croatia 3-0 on their last visit to Walsall, in 2012.

England centurion Karen Carney, who scored the winner in Bosnia in 2016, said: “I’m really looking forward to returning to Walsall. It’s a fantastic stadium and we’ve had great support there before.

“Bosnia were a tough team to break down in the last campaign so we’re expecting a good test and will be hoping to get the win and get some goals as well. I am sure we’ll have a strong crowd cheering us on.”

Walsall club secretary Daniel Mole said: “We’re delighted to be hosting England Women in a World Cup qualifier here at the Banks’s Stadium.

“We are thankful to the Football Association for selecting us to host yet another prestigious fixture and feel sure it will be as successful as the events we have hosted on their behalf in recent seasons. We would also like to wish the Lionesses every success in their Euro 2017 semi-final against the Netherlands on Thursday night.

“They have had a wonderful European Championships thus far, and hopefully by the time the game comes around, they will be Champions of Europe.”
