Shropshire FA are creating an exciting and ambitious strategy to double participation in women's and girl's football in the county by 2020. In order…

Improving and increasing women and girls' participation is both a county and national priority; we need to engage with a variety of individuals from across Shropshire to achieve our part in the national picture.

Through this strategy we aim to:
- Support and grow local women and girls' footballing opportunities
- Increase the number of women and girls involved in playing, coaching, refereeing and volunteering
- Position Football as the No.1 choice of team sport for women and girls
- Support the Shropshire Girls & Women's League and increase the number and quality of local clubs

There has never been a more exciting and dynamic time for women and girls' football. We welcome new, creative and community-driven ideas for the women and girls game; we want to try new ideas! Working together with the passionate Shropshire footballing community will be key in creating and implementing an effective plan for improving the women and girls game; all to create a lasting legacy for women and girls across the county. We want to hear fresh ideas and honest opinions from men, women, young people, older people - anyone with an interest in the women and girls' game!

Through this consultation we welcome any and everyone who is interested in women and girls football, we want to create a well-rounded strategy and your ideas are key.
