FA Mini Soccer Course

The FA Mini Soccer Referee Course starts your refereeing career off in youth football, allowing you to gain valuable experience with younger players. After a period as a mini soccer referee, you do have the option to convert to an 11v11 referee by taking the shorter Mini Soccer Referee Conversion Course should you wish to, or to stay within Mini Soccer

The FA Basic Referee Course

The FA Referees Course is designed for anyone aged 14 and up who wants to join the tens of thousands of referees who operate week in week out on local parks, throughout the English football pyramid, up to those who officiate The FA Cup Final and on the International stage. As a referee you play an integral role in ensuring all participants enjoy their match day experience, helping create a competitive, fair, safe and enjoyable playing environment.

The initial Mini Soccer training course to become a referee is 10 hours, and its 20 hours to complete the FA Basic Referee Course. After that, It is up to you how many games and how often choose to referee - there is no minimum commitment.

It's never too late! Anyone over the age of 14 can become a referee. The game doesn’t just need young referees, some players who are in the twilight of their football years have also enrolled on one of our referee qualification courses to continue their involvement in the game.

The current cost to complete a Mini Soccer Referee Course with Shropshire FA is £60.00

 The current cost to complete a Basic Referee Course with Shropshire FA is £145.00 (also includes full referee kit)

- both courses also include all your training and resource materials, as well as some basic equipment, such as a whistle, etc
