Shropshire FA are running a Women’s 11 V 11 Midweek Football League for 2019/20 season

The Shropshire FA (SFA) have been consulting with adult women teams across the County and beyond about setting up a Women’s County Midweek 11v11 League for 2019/20 season.

The League has been created to enable further opportunities for females to play the 11 v 11 game whilst utilising the excellent facilities and qualified referees appointed by the SFA. 

The League will run at Telford College 3G Pitches on Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 8pm (depending on the number of teams) The cost to play will work out approx. £50 when teams play (£3.50 per player based on 14 players)

There is an interest from a number of teams already to join this league, so we are asking for teams to complete an expression of interest form so we can begin to see how the League format will run.

To enter the League the club has to be affiliated to the SFA and have all the necessary Insurance cover.  Contact the SFA for further details.  Shropshire FA 01743-362769.

We are encouraging new teams to take part and also existing teams.  This League will provide players with extra playing time and give player the chance to play midweek if Sundays are difficulty due to other commitments.  Existing teams are still able to play in their County, Regional and National Leagues.
