Shropshire FA Charity Bike Ride
From Wembley Stadium to Telford Hospital (146 mile Journey)
Shropshire FA Staff member Ian Preece accompanied by Chairman (Dave Simpson) will be riding from Wembley Football Stadium back to The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. They will be supported by CEO (Mick Murphy) and Darren Beech. The ride, a total of 146 miles, will raise funds for the Maternity Bereavement Unit at the hospital. The ride is estimated to take around 13 hours, The unit helps bereaved parents from all over Shropshire.
Victoria and husband, Allen, lost their daughter Luna-Seren, who was born sleeping on January 4 last year (2020) at the Princess Royal Hospital, Shropshire. A special fund, Luna's Legacy, supports local bereaved parents through community projects. It is in the process of building a baby memorial garden locally and provides handmade keepsakes for families as well as donating funds to the maternity bereavement unit.
Mick Murphy (Shropshire FA, CEO) said: ”Victoria is a valued member of staff and we (The Shropshire FA) want to help and support her fundraising campaign as much as we can.”

The Hilton Hotel, Wembley
Huge thank you to The Hilton, Wembley who have provided The Shropshire FA will complimentary accommodation the evening before the bike ride. When the Hilton heard about the ride, they were delighted to support such a cause.
Chris and the team at Lidl Shrewsbury have donated water and an assortment of food to keep Ian & Dave going throughout there journey back to Shropshire.
