Shropshire FA - developing football for everyone
Get Into Football

Futsal Development Centre

Crossbar Coaching will be running a Futsal development centre at Hadley Learning Community starting on January 7th from 5pm to 6pm. The centre will be for years 7 to 9 and will cost £21.00 For 7 hours over a 7 week period (or £5.00 per session). We will also be looking to start a Futsal team using the players who attend the development centre. The centre will run up until half term and then start up again after half term if successful, there will also be a guest appearance from England Futsal Captain and AFC Telford player John Adams.

Futsal is basically an adaptation of Five-A-Side football, the main difference being that it is played using a size 4 ball with a reduced bounce. The reduced bounce encourages players to keep the ball on the floor which then requires more skill to pass and create space.

The FA is strongly encouraging small sided games for the progression of youngsters and Crossbar Coaching sees Futsal as the perfect sport to develop skills which can then be taken into Football. To see Brazil's National Futsal team in action please visit the youtube link below:
