Shropshire FA ran the first in service training day to the newly signed up Step into Sport Students last Friday (31st Oct) at the Shrewsbury Sports Village.
The session focused on Futsal and the ‘Beginners Guide to Futsal course was delivered with 26 young leaders coming away from the day with a qualification and information on how to volunteer in their local Charter Standard Club.
This year, Shropshire’s Step into Sport programme will be offering those signed up to the programme a yearly schedule of in service training dates (see link for timetable of events), the launch of a ‘goal group’ and for the first time, run a County Step into Sport Leadership camp. This in turn will link into the FA Regional Camp for young leaders. From which the young leaders may have the opportunity to be selected to attend the FA National Young Leadership Camp, and based on performance, to work with the Football Association Abroad!!
