Shropshire FA Disability

Shropshire FA are currently working in partnership with Charter Standard Community clubs SAHA FC & Madeley Sports to develop disability football in the County.

 SAHA FC have worked closely with the Football Development team and from that they have been successful in receiving a grant from Awards For All to help develop their own disability teams.(aged 8 – 16)

SAHA will be looking to continue their coaching sessions for this season from Friday 18th September (term time only) at Shrewsbury Sports Village. (Please click on SAHA to download an application form) This is offered to players aged 8 – 16 with PAN disabilities. SAHA are looking for volunteers to help support these teams, so anyone interested should contact Eve Bailey, Girls & Women’s Football Development Officer on 01743-255083.

Madeley Sports are also offering coaching sessions for young disabled players. These sessions take place on Mondays 6-7pm at TCAT Dome, again offered to children aged 8 – 16 with PAN Disabilities. The long term aim for Shropshire is to create a number of teams to play regular competitive football in the West Midlands.

On the back of this Shropshire FA are running a session on Coaching Disabled Footballers at the in service day on Sunday 25th October at the Shrewsbury Sports Village. Anyone is welcome to attend.
